Our Mission:

• To pursue excellence in music education throughout the Central Valley
• To provide opportunities for an increasing number of students to explore their musical potential, expand their knowledge and appreciation of music and to cultivate their varying skills and levels of ability.
• To promote the continuance of musical education for teacher members in order to cultivate personal, professional and artistic excellence.

There are several ways to qualify for membership in MTAC.   

• Possess a degree in music
• Provide proof of extensive training in music, history, theory, pedagogy, and performance, as well as several years of teaching experience
• Enroll in Cal Plan, the MTAC training program
